Jan SBS 2010

I just love this stamp set. I've never made a card I didn't like with this set.
I'm not good at man cards but I think these came out nice.
Simple, nice, and easy!

I spent some time over our Christmas weekend
moving around my craft room. Needed to fit more stuff in!
It's still a mess I really need to downsize some of this stuff.
It's just hard to do when I really do use most of it.
Thanks for looking at my mess!

*

This is what Santa gave me!
Lots of cool stuff!
*

Our tree just after Santa unloaded the gift closet.
*

Really early in the morning note it's still dark in the house and outside!
*
Keke pushing her way into the action. She is looking for the rat she asked Nate for
No I didn't let him buy her a real rat. She got several fake ones to make up for it.
*
Unloading their stockings while Mom and Dad try and wake up.
*
Nate wanted this so bad! He was so happy! It's these moments that make the
Holiday headaches worth it!
*
Hope you all had a great Christmas!

Christmas Gift Basket 2009

Christmas Gifts 2009
*
This is my 3rd year making these cute glass ornaments. This year I used Santa from the SU set Jolliest Time of the Year. I used Black Stazon ink on Transparency film. Colored with Copic markers, the white is Liquid Applique and a little glitter. Make sure you let your Liquid Applique dry over night you get a much better puff much more even and pretty. The snow is Martha Stewart Snow Glitter. Glass ornaments are from AC Moore the large ones are my favorite.
*
Everything else in the baskets is some of our favorite Holiday cookies and snacks.
*
Chocolate covered pretzels, Snickerdoodle Cookies, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cake Balls, No Bake Cookies, and Chocolate Filled Candy Canes. Yes we love Chocolate! LOL
*
Hope each and everyone of you have
a Very Merry Christmas!

Snowman Soup

It's not Christmas without Snowman Soup!

*

*

These are for the boy's teachers and bus drivers. They are fun little gifts. Pretty quick and easy to make. Just lots of steps.

I could have saved lots of CS by just making the bag topper but I think this looks better.

*

To make these little gifts you need to cut your CS base 6 1/8 x 11in. Score @ 8 1/2. Fits the Large SU cello bag. Also used the small cello bag for the marshmallows on the inside of the package.

*

Stamps used SU snowman wheel, Brown Stazon ink pad, CS is SU, SU markers, BG Figgy Pudding DP, SU cello bags, Amuse Ribbon, Offray Ribbon, Gold gel pen, Star Dust gel pen, Red Line tape, Red line sticky dots, Hot Cocoa packet, Chocolate Bar, Candy Cane, Marshmallows,

*

LOL! OMG always proof read when downloading from SCS! LOL must redo the tag.

Christmas

This is our big tree. I didn't feel like moving the living room around so it's in the dinning room.

This is the boy's tree. All of the handmade/kid type stuff goes on this tree.

Yep that's a pile of gifts yet to make it to the Post Office. Can't find the right size box!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
I almost have everything done. Almost.....I still can't find everything beginning to think yet another box went missing in the move. I still have some finishing touches to do and well the tree has been up for over a week and already needs to be redecorated between Nate and Keke it looks bad already. I'm going to do some holiday baking today. Not sure how much of the 25lbs lost will stay gone after today......
Hope all of you are having fun with this very Merry Holiday Season. Also hope all of you remember the real meaning of the season it's not the tree, lights, gifts that are important it's the cookies that count like two points each!

First Snow!
Well the boys are in heaven they are just lovin' the snow. We moved this spring and the first thing my DH said when he looked into the backyard was I can't wait for winter this is the perfect sledding hill. Well he didn't have to wait long. The first week of December and we have snow!

I'm always in charge of the handmade gift for the Pastor at my Mothers church....no idea how this happened but....it did. Really easy to make these and I found the tiles on sale at Lowes .20 each not bad less than a $1 for the set of four. That's a nice gift that's easy on the bank acct. Always a good thing!

Christmas Advent Calendar

Christmas Advent Calendar.
Thank you Jeaneen!
Jeaneen a local MD lady gave me this really cute Making Memories Advent kit. Really cool and what a time saver this is!
Jeaneen doesn't have a blog or I would link you to her now sorry but you can look her up on SCS as JTAX.
Ok to the project...We countdown to Christmas so that's why my numbers are the way they are. My kids like all kids I'm sure ask everyday How many days till Christmas. This is how I deal with this question. It's what works for them. I wanted to keep it pretty simple so we could focus on the number and not the pretty stuff so that's why so little embellishments. This is a good size box I was able to get two small candy items in each drawer one for each of my boys so worked out great. This is by Making Memories I have no idea where Jeaneen found it but I'm sure it's online and in big box stores. The name is Fa La La Advent Calendar box and came with the ribbon, rub-ons, and brads. The only thing I added was the Prima flowers because we could still see the number the kit came with paper poinsettia flowers so you really don't have to buy anything with this kit.
Extras used Red Liner Tape, and my crop-a-dile, star dust pen, my bow maker.
Merry Christmas countdown to all!
Amanda
